Bank Robbery at Key Bank 400 Forest Avenue
The Portland Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at Key Bank located at 400 Forest Avenue. At approximately 10:30 am a male suspect entered the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money. The suspect did not appear to be armed with a weapon. The suspect then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. The male exited the bank and fled on foot inbound on Forest Avenue. The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties or thirties, approximately 5’9” tall with a medium build. The suspect was wearing a yellow traffic vest with the words “Maine Works” on the back. He was also wearing a light gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt under the vest. The suspect was wearing a dark colored hat and sunglasses and was carrying a yellow hard hat. The suspect may have been seen entering the Tru-Choice Credit Union on Park Avenue and the C-Port Credit Union on Forest Avenue before robbing the Key Bank.
