Portland Police K-9 Patrol/Narcotics

The Portland Patrol/Narcotics K9's are part of the Law Enforcement Dogs of Maine training group. This group is made up of about 15 K9 teams around the Portland area. We train every Monday with one night training consisting of scenarios (car pursuits, bailouts, etc.). During these training we work on Narcotics and all Patrol aspects, as well as any specialized training (SWAT, etc). We certify typically two times per year for both disciplines with both the United States Police Canine Association, which is a National certification, as well as through the State of Maine.
