Homes on the streets listed below have been broken into this month: Chenery, Congress Street (200 block), Munjoy South, Smith Street, State Street, Washington Avenue (600 block), Wellington Rd

Current crime problem in the Old Port (4/10/2007)
A number of pocketbooks are being taken from Old Port bars and restaurants. Bags are often left unattended but have also been taken from booths or the back of chairs where victims are seated. Women should never leave their bag unattended and should be sure to keep an eye on personal property when they are out.
