Some of the facts about Andjelko and his career at the Portland Police Department are:

He was born in Karlovac, Croatia and was forced to flee his hometown in 1994 because of the war in Yugoslavia, and resettled in Prishtina, Serbia.

He received an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Andover College in 2006.

Officer Napijalo is routinely placed amongst the top five officers in the department for arrests and traffic citations since he has been working Directed Patrol. In October 2008, he set up a team warrant sweep called Operation Two-Headed Eagle, which resulted in seventeen arrests in one night.

Officer Napijalo became an American citizen in order to become a police officer - his passion for the work is evident when you meet him.
